SET UP (30 people for 45 min)
Set up all the chairs you need for your conference
There's a green cart in the chair room that has
directions on chair placement. This is only a
suggestion. You are directing set up for your
Stake so you are welcome to set them up
however you'd like.
NOTE: The setup on the diagram is for a maximum set up - you'll likely set up less chairs than are shown on it.
Most Stakes leave the empty chair racks along
the west and east walls to allow for quicker take down time.
There are setup guides posted on the walls
in the auditorium and hallway rooms. Again,
you're welcome to follow these or
setup however you wish.
If you'd like to meet ahead of time to see where the
marks on the floor are, how the carpet spacing
rolls work, or where things are let Darren know.
TAKE DOWN (3 people for 30 min)
For this duty you just need to direct and not
get involved in actually folding/hanging chairs.
The directions on the chair carts need to be followed. No
more than 8 metal padless chairs can go on a section, and no
more than 4 padded chairs can go on a section. YES , more will
fit on there, but they'll just fall off later when positioning the
carts near each other, and then be crushed and bent up
by the heavy momentum of moving carts. Plus, when
there's a little room on the end of each bar it gives you
more room for your hand to handle the carts.
So, if you can assign a couple of people to be out in the
audience making sure the right chairs are going on the
correct carts, the correct way it helps quite a bit.
All the padded carts go in the chair room.
All the steel chairs go along the east (11 carts)
and west (17 carts) walls in the gym
PLEASE, have one person assigned to stand at the entry to
the carpeted corridor that leads to the chair room, and
have this person NOT ALLOW any carts to go
past him if there are more than 4 chairs per section.
This person also ensures that carts are placed in the
chair room following the markings on the floor.
